Olympic Peninsula - 3/19/03

The seminar was in Tacoma.  I had a day before the seminar to sightsee.  The most interesting nearby place was the Olympic Peninsula.

DSC01330.jpg (51947 bytes) The key part of Dungeness NWR is a sand spit that sticks out into the strait for 5 miles.  According to the sign, this is the longest natural sand spit in the world.
